No significant change of serum glucose can be observed with the change of temperature.
ZJ Zhao et al investigate the effect of ambient temperature on energy balance. Glucose (Glu) level in mouse serum was determined using glucose colorimetric assay kit (E-BC-K234-S).
It is recommended to take 2~3 samples with expected large difference to do pre-experiment before formal experiment and dilute the sample according to the result of the pre-experiment and the detection range (0.05-30 mmol/L).
The recommended dilution factor for different samples is as follows (for reference only):
Sample type |
Dilution factor |
Rat plasma |
1 |
Mouse serum |
1 |
Human serum |
1 |
Human plasma |
1 |
Note: The diluent is normal saline (0.9% NaCl).

Asked: Can I use this kit for plant seed sample glucose detection?
Reply
adminSubmitted [ Mar 07 2024 ]
Answered: For E-BC-K234-S kit, our laboratory has verified that plant samples such as green plants and peaches can be detected, but there are differences between different samples. Theoretically, if the glucose content in the samples is higher than the sensitivity of the kit, it can be detected. It is recommended that you choose 2-3 samples to do a pre-experiment before the formal experiment.
