Infectious toxic encephalopathy, also known as acute toxic encephalitis, is a brain
poisoning reaction caused by acute infection toxic. The main pathogenesis
include toxemia, metabolic disorders and hypoxia induced brain edema. Infectious toxic encephalopathy is
more common in children of 2-10 years old, whose immune system is not fully
developed and the brain function is immature. Acute bacterial infection is the main cause of
the disease, such as sepsis, pneumonia, dysentery, typhoid, diphtheria, scarlet
fever and pyelonephritis, etc. Symptoms of the patient are high fever, severe
headache, vomiting, irritability and paralysis and even coma. Severe patients
may have varying degrees of visual impairment, hearing loss, cranial nerve
palsy, single or multiple paralysis, brain damage, and other neurologic disorder.
