background | FLI-1 gene and FLI-1 protein are known to play an important role in the pathogenesis of Ewing's sarcoma/peripheral neuroectodermal tumor (ES/PNET), involving cell proliferation, tumorigenesis and angiogenesis. The criterion of positive rate was more than 10%. Recent studies have demonstrated that FLI-1 gene also plays an important role in embryonic vascular development and is expressed in endothelial cells of various vascular types (arterial, venous and lymphatic) in human body. The antibody has now been recommended in combination with CD99 to identify Ewing's sarcoma/peripheral neuroectodermal tumor (ES/PNET). It can also be used in the differential diagnosis of tumors of vascular endothelial origin. |
