| background | CD68 is a highly glycosylated transmembrane protein, which is the most widely used macrophage marker. CD68 is expressed in Kupffer cells, normal lymphoid cells, mast cells and microglia. In tumor tissue, CD68 is expressed in the epithelial cells of fibrous tissue tumors, some epithelial tumors, and some malignant melanoma. |
