| background | CD79 complex is heterodimer molecule (CD79a and CD79b). It forms B cell's antigen recognition receptor (BCR) with immunoglobulin on the surface of B cell. It is involved in the signal transduction of B cell activation. About 50% of plasmacytoma cases are expressing CD79a. CD79a is often used in combination with CD20 to label B lymphocytes. |
