| background | epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) is a receptor-type tyrosine kinase, which is overexpressed or mutated in many tumors. It controls tumor growth through signal transduction, and is closely related to angiogenesis, tumor invasion and metastasis. Studies have shown that EGFR is overexpressed in breast (25%), brain, bladder, lung, stomach, esophagus, cervix, ovary, and endometrial tumors. It is currently used as a reference for targeted therapy of non-small cell lung cancer. |
