Lipoprotein Lipase (LPL) Activity Colorimetric Assay Kit (E-BC-K1407-M)
For research use only.
| Detection Principle |
Lipoprotein lipase is a core molecule located at the interface between blood circulation and tissue energy metabolism. By hydrolyzing triglycerides, it precisely distributes lipid energy from dietary and hepatic sources to storage (adipose) or consumption (muscle) tissues. The fine regulation of its activity is crucial for maintaining systemic lipid homeostasis. Detection principle of this kit: Lipoprotein lipase catalyzes the hydrolysis of the substrate to generate the colored product p-nitrophenol, which has a maximum absorption peak at 410 nm. |

The recommended dilution factor for different samples is as follows (for reference only):
| Sample Type | Dilution Factor |
|---|---|
| 10% Mouse liver tissue homogenate | 2-3 |
| 10% Mouse kidney tissue homogenate | 2-3 |
| 10% Mouse heart tissue homogenate | 2-3 |
| 10% Mouse spleen tissue homogenate | 2-3 |
| 10% Mouse lung tissue homogenate | 2-3 |
| Rat serum | 1 |
The diluent is normal saline (0.9% NaCl) or PBS (0.01 M, pH 7.4). For the dilution of other sample types, please do pretest to confirm the dilution factor.
