background | The linker family includes α - Catenin, β - Catenin, r-catenin and p120 catenin. P120 catenin is linked to E-cadherin in the cytoplasm near the cell membrane, forming a complex, which is stable and closely linked. If E-cadherin is absent, p120 catenin will accumulate in the cytoplasm. There is only a small amount of membrane expression in breast ductal carcinoma, but there is no p120 catenin accumulation in the cytoplasm. The can be used to differentiate breast lobular / ductal tumors. |
