| Detection Principle | Uric acid (UA) in the protein-free filtrate reduces phosphotungstic acid to form tungsten blue, allantoin and carbon dioxide. The intensity of the blue color is proportional to the uric acid concentration. The uric acid content can be calculated by measuring the OD value at 690 nm. |
