Asked: To whom it may concern, I am preparing a diamine oxidase (DAO) activity detection assay and I have seen your website. I would like to know if the peroxide formed comes from histamine metabolism or it comes from another amine such as putrescine or cadaverine. I would also like to know if DAO activity can be also detected in food samples in this kit, instead serum, orine, plasma, animal tissue and cell samples. Best regards, Cristina.

Answered: Hi Cristina, kindly note the substrate of this kit belongs to diamines. This kit does not differentiate between species, Elabscience metabolism kits are designed to detect all types of samples, including food samples.
