The following data was generated by the Quality Control Department, under controlled laboratory conditions (ambient temperature: 18-25 °C, relative humidity: 35-75%) using standardized procedures (TMB reaction at 37 °C in the dark for 15 minutes, followed by termination and OD measurement). These values are provided for reference only.

Test Principle
This ELISA kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. Prior to the assay, the plate must be coated with antibody specific for Mouse E-Cad. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Mouse E-Cad and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Mouse E-Cad, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Mouse E-Cad. You can calculate the concentration of Mouse E-Cad in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
Background
Cadherins are calcium-dependent cell adhesion proteins.They preferentially interact with themselves in a homophilic manner in connecting cells; cadherins may thus contribute to the sorting of heterogeneous cell types. CDH1 is involved in mechanisms regulating cell-cell adhesions; mobility and proliferation of epithelial cells.Has a potent invasive suppressor role. It is a ligand for integrin alpha-E/beta-7.E-Cad/CTF2 promotes non-amyloidogenic degradation of Abeta precursors. Has a strong inhibitory effect on APP C99 and C83 production. Does not function as a receptor for L.monocytogenes internalin A (InlA); mutating a single surface-exposed residue confers receptor activity to this protein and promotes uptake of the bacteria.
