| Detection Principle | Iron is an essential metal elements in organism and plays important physiological roles. Ferrous ion (Fe2+) is a key element in heme and hemoglobin, and also participates in numerous biochemical reactions. FeFe2+ in samples can bind with probe to form complexes, which has a maximum absorption peak at 593 nm. The concentration of FeFe2+ can be calculated by measuring the OD value at 593 nm indirectly. |

The diluent is normal saline (0.9% NaCl) or PBS (0.01 M, pH 7.4). For the dilution of other sample types, please do pretest to confirm the dilution factor.
