Expiration Date 12 months
Recovery
The recovery of Human ADP was evaluated by spiking samples at low, mid, and high concentrations across the assay range in various sample matrices.
The assay performance was assessed by comparing the measured concentrations to the expected spiked amounts to determine the percent recovery.
Sample Type Range (%) Average Recovery(%)
Serum (n=8) 96-109 102
EDTA plasma (n=8) 92-102 97
Cell culture media (n=8) 90-104 95
Linearity
Linearity of the assay was evaluated by spiking samples with high concentrations of Human ADP and performing serial dilutions using Standard & Sample Diluent to produce concentrations spanning the assay's dynamic range. The measured values were then compared to the expected concentrations to assess the linearity of response.

Stability
Each kit batch is subjected to accelerated stability testing and real-time stability monitoring. Sample performance is evaluated after storage at 37 °C for 10 days to assess the impact of elevated temperature on assay reliability and reagent integrity.

This ELISA kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to ADP . Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for ADP and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain ADP , biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of ADP . You can calculate the concentration of ADP in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
Adiponectin (ADP) is a hormone secreted by fat tissue that primarily exists in protein form. It plays an important role in maintaining healthy metabolism and regulating energy balance. It has been found that ADP is involved in various metabolic processes, such as glucose and lipid metabolism, inflammation, insulin sensitivity, and vascular health. Additionally, it is associated with the prevention of obesity-related diseases, such as type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease. Therefore, understanding the role of ADP in health and disease is crucial for developing effective treatment strategies for these conditions.
